The Franco-Tunisian CFO Agenda Comes to Tunis: What to Expect at the France–Tunisie Economic Encounter 2026

conference image

From 5 to 7 June 2026, the International CFO Alliance (ICFOA) and DFCG Île-de-France will host the Rencontre Économique France–Tunisie 2026 at the Hôtel Verdi Ghammarth in Tunis, Tunisia. The three-day programme — organised in partnership with the Embassy of France in Tunisia, Business France, the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Tuniso-Française (CCITF), COGEREF Tunisie, and ATCF — convenes around 150 senior decision-makers under the theme CEO & CFO – Vision, Pilotage et Opportunités d’Affaires.

Against a backdrop of reconfiguring value chains and tighter scrutiny on financial flows, the Franco-Tunisian economic relationship has become a strategic lever for both jurisdictions. This encounter is designed to translate that relationship into concrete dialogue — between public priorities and private-sector expectations, between French and Tunisian governance practices, and between executives who rarely share a room outside of formal trade missions.

Programme Structure

  • Friday 5 June — Arrival and Diplomatic Welcome The French delegation arrives at the Hôtel Verdi Ghammarth in Ghammarth, Tunis. The day closes with an official welcome cocktail at the Résidence de France, hosted in the presence of H.E. Anne Guéguen, Ambassador of France to Tunisia. The setting allows the French and Tunisian delegations to make first contact in a diplomatic environment before formal sessions begin.
  • Saturday 6 June — Conference, Roundtables, B2B Meetings and Gala Dinner The main conference day opens at 09h30 with official welcome addresses from Alain Lozzino (President, DFCG Île-de-France), Emmanuel Millard (President, International CFO Alliance), Khalil Chaibi (President, CCITF), Ambassador Guéguen, and a senior representative of the Tunisian government (to be confirmed). Two moderated roundtables structure the morning:

Roundtable 1 (09h50–11h20): Tunisie 2026 — Cap Économique et Conditions de Réussite pour les Entreprises Françaises et Tunisiennes Moderated by Meriam Ben Boubaker (Vice-President, ICFOA), this session brings together Philippe Garcia (Business France, North Africa), Raja Touil (CCITF), Julien Deschamps (Kroll), Aslan Berjeb (CONECT), Badreddine Ouali (VERMEG), Anis Wahabi (Nautiluss France), and Borhene Dhaouadi (Marseille Architecture Partenaires) to set out Tunisia’s 2026 economic trajectory and the conditions under which French and Tunisian businesses can succeed in it.

Roundtable 2 (11h40–13h00): Piloter la Performance en France et en Tunisie — Ce qui Change pour les CFO et les CEO Moderated by Cynthia Januaro (DFCG Île-de-France), this session pairs Riadh Naouar (IFC), Ahmed Karam (Honorary President, ATCF), Sadok El Banna (Pluxee Tunisie), Ghazi Dargouthi (Healthcare), Razi Miliani (COGEPHA), and Christhian Lévesque (GlobalEthicx) in a discussion-led format. A parallel B2B track runs from 09h50 to 13h00, offering pre-qualified one-to-one meetings for delegates seeking partnership or investment conversations alongside the plenary programme. The afternoon shifts to cultural diplomacy with a guided visit to Sidi Bou Saïd — the classified Mediterranean village known for its blue-and-white architecture — and the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site of Carthage. The day closes with a Gala Dinner at the Hôtel Verdi Ghammarth bringing both delegations together for the closing address.
  • Sunday 7 June — Bilateral Time and Departure The morning is reserved for informal bilateral meetings and personal time. Transfers to Tunis-Carthage International Airport take place during the afternoon and evening.

Why It Matters

For ICFOA, the Tunis encounter extends the same agenda advanced at Los Cabos in November 2025: cross-border CFO leadership built on direct exchange between national associations rather than abstract policy frameworks. For DFCG Île-de-France, it operationalises a long-standing partnership with the Tunisian CFO community. And for the broader Franco-Tunisian business community, it brings the Ambassador of France, the CCITF, Business France and senior Tunisian regulators into the same room as the CEOs and CFOs who must act on what is decided.

For executives operating across the Mediterranean corridor — or considering it — this is the event where the year’s commercial and financial agenda gets named, debated, and connected to specific counterparts.
