Historical Background

ASSET was established in 1970 and integrates financial directors, treasurers, and all professionals from the finance area belonging to both companies and public entities. This association plays a pivotal role in Spain’s financial sector, bringing together over 600 CFOs and finance professionals.

ASSET has a significant presence in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Valencia. The organization currently engages over 10,000 followers from corporate financial departments and has more than 500 associates.

ASSET’s commissions, organized into working groups, focus on various areas like Control Management, Morosity, Treasury, Digitalization, and Working Capital. These commissions address key aspects of finance such as legislative changes, commercial credit management, treasury best practices, digital processes in finance, and optimizing liquidity and cash flow management in challenging economic conditions.

Governance Structure

The Governing Board of ASSET, elected by the General Assembly for a four-year term, consists of 21 members representing various companies such as Skechers, PepsiCo, HD Covalco, Leroy Merlin, Grifols, Endesa, Boehringer Ingelheim, Antonio Puig, Borges, Naturgy, Schneider Electric, Orange, and more.

Membership Benefits and Services

Membership categories include Active Member, Entry-Pyme (€200/year), Premium (€1,000/year), Basic (€300/year), Plus (€450/year), and Junior (Free for students and recent graduates). Members enjoy benefits such as training discounts, a free subscription to ASSET Actualidad magazine, marketplace access, and online training discounts. Premium members also receive exclusive event invitations and can participate in Technical Commissions and Work Groups.

Professional Development Program

The International CFO Alliance (ICFOA) is a non-profit organization, classified as an “1901 association law“ entity, and is officially registered in France. It was established as a legal entity in 2023 and is recognized by the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (DILA). This status underscores our commitment to operating as a non-profit, dedicated to serving the interests of our members and the CFO profession globally.
