CFO Certification Working Group

The CFO Certification Working Group is an integral part of the International CFO Alliance

Its primary objective is to develop a globally recognized CFO certification. This initiative is aimed at establishing a standardized competency and skills framework for CFOs worldwide, akin to the highly regarded CFA designation. The committee’s work includes collaborating with educational institutions, quality councils, and standardization authorities to ensure the certification is both globally relevant and adaptable to local jurisdictional requirements.

The International CFO Alliance (ICFOA) is a non-profit organization, classified as an “1901 association law“ entity, and is officially registered in France. It was established as a legal entity in 2023 and is recognized by the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (DILA). This status underscores our commitment to operating as a non-profit, dedicated to serving the interests of our members and the CFO profession globally.
